Seller Policy Overview

This Seller Policy establishes the rules and obligations for sellers on RippleBids' cryptocurrency marketplace. As a seller, you must comply with listing requirements, fulfillment standards, and legal obligations while maintaining transparency and honesty in all transactions.

Important: By selling on RippleBids, you agree to comply with Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act and all applicable federal and international laws.

1. Purpose

This Seller Policy outlines the rules and obligations for sellers listing and selling items or services on RippleBids.com (the "Platform"). By selling on the Platform, you agree to comply with this Seller Policy, our Terms of Service, and all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, including Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act (Ohio Rev. Code § 1345).

2. Listing Requirements

Sellers must ensure that all listings meet the following standards:

2.1 Accurate Information

  • Provide truthful and complete titles, descriptions, images, quantities, and conditions for all items or services.
  • Clearly disclose any defects, used conditions, or limitations of the item.
  • Ensure images accurately represent the item being sold.

2.2 Transparency

  • Disclose all applicable taxes, fees, shipping times, and any restrictions (e.g., geographic, age, or legal restrictions).
  • Specify any additional costs (e.g., customs duties, handling fees) in the listing.

2.3 Compliance

  • Listings must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including Ohio consumer protection laws and federal trade regulations.
  • Listings must adhere to the Platform's Prohibited Items guidelines (see Section 6).

3. Fees and Payouts

3.1 Platform Fees

  • Platform fees, transaction fees, listing fees, and payout schedules are displayed in your seller dashboard.
  • Fees are subject to change with prior notice via the Platform or email.
  • Fees may be deducted from your payout at the time of disbursement.

3.2 Payout Process

  • Payouts are processed according to the schedule outlined in your dashboard, typically after escrow funds are released (e.g., upon delivery confirmation).
  • Payouts are made in supported cryptocurrencies (e.g., ETH, XRP, SUI, SOL, XRPB, XRPB-SOL) to your designated wallet address.

3.3 Fee Transparency

By listing an item, you agree to the applicable fees disclosed at the time of listing or transaction.

4. Fulfillment and Shipping

4.1 Shipping Obligations

  • Sellers must ship items within 5 business days of escrow confirmation unless a longer shipping time is clearly stated in the listing.
  • Use the Platform's ShipEngine integration to purchase shipping labels and generate valid tracking information.

4.2 Seller Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate entry of shipping addresses provided by buyers.
  • Properly package items to prevent damage during transit.
  • Drop off packages with the chosen carrier and ensure carrier acceptance.

4.3 Shipping Insurance

  • Sellers are strongly encouraged to purchase shipping insurance for high-value items to mitigate risks of loss or damage.
  • Important: RippleBids is not liable for lost, damaged, or delayed packages once accepted by the carrier.

4.4 Tracking

  • Sellers must provide valid tracking information via ShipEngine or other approved methods to facilitate escrow release and dispute resolution.
  • Warning: Failure to provide tracking may result in escrow funds being returned to the buyer.

5. Returns and Refunds

5.1 Return Policy

  • Sellers must clearly specify their return policy in each listing (e.g., return window, conditions for returns).
  • If no return policy is specified, the default is "no returns" unless the item is materially not as described or not delivered.
  • Sellers must honor their stated return policy and comply with Ohio consumer protection laws.

5.2 Refunds

  • Refunds are processed through the Platform's escrow mechanism if a return is approved or a dispute is resolved in the buyer's favor.
  • Sellers must cooperate with RippleBids' dispute resolution process (see Section 7).

6. Prohibited Items and Conduct

6.1 Prohibited Items

Sellers may not list or sell:

  • Illegal goods or services under Ohio, federal, or international law.
  • Stolen or counterfeit goods.
  • Weapons, ammunition, or explosives, unless compliant with all applicable laws and permits.
  • Controlled substances or drug paraphernalia.
  • Regulated items requiring permits or licenses (e.g., alcohol, tobacco) without proper authorization.
  • Any items explicitly prohibited by the Platform's policies, as updated periodically.

6.2 Prohibited Conduct

Sellers must not:

  • Create false or misleading listings (e.g., inaccurate descriptions, manipulated images).
  • Engage in shill bidding, price manipulation, or other fraudulent practices.
  • Circumvent the Platform's escrow or payment systems.
  • Violate intellectual property rights or upload content without proper authorization.

6.3 Compliance

RippleBids reserves the right to remove listings or suspend accounts that violate this policy or applicable laws.

7. Non-Delivery and Fraud

7.1 Investigations

Sellers must cooperate fully with RippleBids' investigations into non-delivery, fraud, or other disputes. This includes providing documentation, tracking information, or other evidence as requested.

7.2 Enforcement Actions

If seller misconduct, fraud, or non-delivery is confirmed, RippleBids may:

  • Return escrowed funds to the buyer.
  • Suspend or terminate the seller's account.
  • Report the incident to law enforcement if required by Ohio or federal law.

7.3 Dispute Resolution

All disputes are subject to the Platform's Dispute Resolution Policy and Ohio law.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, including but not limited to:

Ohio Consumer Protection

Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act (Ohio Rev. Code § 1345).

Federal Regulations

Federal trade regulations (e.g., FTC guidelines on deceptive practices).

Tax Obligations

Tax obligations for sales, income, or other applicable taxes.

International Trade

Export/import regulations for international shipments.

9. Changes to This Seller Policy

We may update this Seller Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform, email, or other reasonable means, with at least thirty (30) days' notice before taking effect.

Acceptance: Your continued use of the Platform as a seller constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
