1. Purpose

This Buyer Policy outlines the rules and obligations for buyers purchasing items or services on RippleBids.com (the "Platform"). By making a purchase, you agree to comply with this Buyer Policy, our Terms of Service, and all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, including Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act (Ohio Rev. Code § 1345).

2. Placing Orders

Order Confirmation and Payment Requirements

2.1 Order Confirmation

• Purchases are final once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain and accepted by the Platform's escrow mechanism, subject to your dispute rights (see Section 4).

• You are responsible for reviewing listing details, including descriptions, prices, taxes, and shipping terms, before confirming a purchase.

2.2 Payment

• Payments must be made in supported cryptocurrencies (e.g., ETH, XRP, SUI, SOL, XRPB, XRPB-SOL) via a compatible wallet (e.g., Xaman, MetaMask, Slush Wallet, Phantom Wallet).

• You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds and correct wallet addresses for transactions.

3. Escrow and Delivery Confirmation

Escrow Mechanism and Delivery Process

3.1 Escrow Mechanism

• Funds for purchases are held in escrow via a smart contract or third-party escrow service until delivery is confirmed.

• RippleBids does not act as an escrow agent or custodian of funds and does not have access to your private keys.

3.2 Delivery Confirmation

• Escrow funds are released to the seller upon:

• Valid carrier tracking confirming delivery (via ShipEngine or other approved methods).

• Your explicit confirmation of receipt and satisfaction.

• If no tracking is provided or delivery is not confirmed, you may open a dispute (see Section 4).

3.3 Shipping Details

• Review the Platform's Shipping & Escrow Policy for additional details on escrow processes and shipping requirements.

4. Refunds and Disputes

Dispute Process and Resolution

4.1 Dispute Window

• You may open a dispute within 19 calendar days of the expected delivery date if:

• The item is not received (non-delivery).

• The item is materially not as described (e.g., defective, incorrect, or counterfeit).

4.2 Dispute Process

• Initiate disputes through the Platform's dispute resolution system.

• Provide evidence to support your claim, such as photos, correspondence, or tracking information.

• RippleBids will investigate and may pause escrow fund release pending resolution.

4.3 Resolution

• If a dispute is resolved in your favor, RippleBids may return escrowed funds to your wallet.

• Dispute decisions are subject to the Platform's Dispute Resolution Policy and Ohio law.

4.4 Returns

• Returns are subject to the seller's return policy as stated in the listing. If no policy is specified, the default is "no returns" unless the item is materially not as described or not delivered.

• You are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed with the seller.

5. Chargebacks

Cryptocurrency and Fiat Payment Handling

5.1 Cryptocurrency Transactions

• Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible once confirmed on the blockchain. RippleBids cannot reverse or refund such transactions outside the escrow dispute process.

5.2 Fiat or Card Payments (if applicable)

• If fiat or card payments are supported in the future, chargebacks will be handled according to the payment provider's rules. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in account suspension.

6. Buyer Responsibilities

Accurate Information and Compliance Requirements

6.1 Accurate Information

• Provide accurate shipping addresses and contact details to facilitate delivery.

• Verify wallet addresses to ensure correct payment processing.

6.2 Compliance with Laws

• You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including tax obligations (e.g., sales, use, or import taxes) and import/export regulations.

6.3 Prohibited Conduct

• Do not engage in fraudulent activities, such as filing false disputes or attempting to manipulate transactions.

• Do not use the Platform for illegal purposes or to purchase prohibited items (see Seller Policy, Section 6).

7. Changes to This Buyer Policy

We may update this Buyer Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform, email, or other reasonable means, with at least thirty (30) days' notice before taking effect. Your continued use of the Platform as a buyer constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
