1. Purpose

This Community Guidelines & Security / Bug Bounty Policy outlines the expected conduct for all users of RippleBids.com (the "Platform") and the process for reporting security vulnerabilities. By participating in the Platform, you agree to comply with this policy, our Terms of Service, and applicable laws, including Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act (Ohio Rev. Code § 1345).

2. Community Guidelines

To foster a safe and respectful environment, all users (buyers, sellers, and visitors) must adhere to the following guidelines:

2.1 Be Respectful

Treat others with respect and courtesy. Do not engage in harassment, bullying, hate speech, discrimination, or any behavior that violates Ohio or federal laws (e.g., anti-discrimination laws).

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to, offensive comments based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.

2.2 Respect Intellectual Property

Do not post or share content (e.g., listings, images, descriptions) that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.

Report suspected IP violations via our DMCA / Intellectual Property Policy.

2.3 No Illegal Conduct

Do not use the Platform for illegal activities, including fraud, money laundering, or the sale of prohibited items (see Seller Policy, Section 6).

Comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws.

2.4 Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination, as outlined in our Terms of Service. RippleBids may report illegal conduct to law enforcement when required.

3. Security and Bug Bounty Program

RippleBids is committed to protecting the security of the Platform and its users. We encourage responsible disclosure of security vulnerabilities and may offer a bug bounty program to reward eligible reports.

3.1 Reporting Security Issues

If you discover a potential security vulnerability (e.g., bugs, exploits, or weaknesses in the Platform, smart contracts, or integrations), report it promptly to:

Email: Support@ripplebids.com

Include a detailed description of the issue, steps to reproduce it, and your contact information.

3.2 Responsible Disclosure

Do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities until RippleBids has had a reasonable time to investigate and respond (typically 90 days).

Do not exploit vulnerabilities beyond what is necessary to demonstrate the issue, and do not access, modify, or disclose user data without permission.

3.3 Bug Bounty Program

RippleBids may offer rewards (e.g., monetary compensation, cryptocurrency, or public acknowledgment) for valid, previously unreported vulnerabilities, at our sole discretion.

Eligibility, reward criteria, and terms are detailed in the Bug Bounty Program Terms (available upon request via [SECURITY_EMAIL]).

Rewards are subject to compliance with this policy and applicable laws.

3.4 Prohibited Actions

Do not engage in unauthorized testing, such as denial-of-service attacks, social engineering, or attempts to access user accounts or private keys.

Violations may result in account suspension, legal action, or exclusion from the bug bounty program.

3.5 Security Measures

RippleBids implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data and Platform security, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. However, no system is 100% secure, and users are responsible for securing their wallets and accounts.

4. Compliance with Laws

Users must comply with all applicable laws, including:

Ohio's consumer protection laws (Ohio Rev. Code § 1345) for fair and ethical conduct.

Federal laws, such as those governing cybersecurity and intellectual property (e.g., 17 U.S.C. § 512 for DMCA).

Anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations, as outlined in our AML/KYC Policy.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Community Guidelines & Security / Bug Bounty Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform, email, or other reasonable means, with at least thirty (30) days' notice before taking effect. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
